Membership - Rules

Having paid for the current season's membership, which is valid from the 15th of March to the 14th of March the following year, members may enjoy the right of fishing on the Cambridge Fish Preservation and Angling Society waters.

Members may not arrange their own competitions or similar large visiting parties on water and on dates of matches organised by, or under the auspices of, the Society. If members wish to hold a private match or visit in a large party on any date they must obtain approval from the Chief Bailiff well beforehand.

When fishing CFPAS waters members must have their membership book available for inspection by a bailiff. Failure to do so may result in the member being required to pay a day membership fee.

Day Membership and Peg Fees

The Membership Ticket must not be lent or transferred. Any officer, bailiff or member of the Society may request any angler fishing the Societies waters to produce his/her Membership Permit or Day Membership Permit. Anglers failing to produce this permit may be asked to pay the £5:00 Day Membership Permit fee or to cease fishing and remove himself/herself at once from the fishery. Failure to do so may result in prosecution.
