Hanson Block Fen A & B - Mepal - A142

At around 20 acres these large former gravel pits offer quite a contrast to each other to form a great complex of fisheries. One pit is shallow and coloured whilst the other is clear and weedy.

Block Fen A - is highly stocked with Carp, Roach and Rudd as the dominant species but with Tench, Bream and Perch also present.

Rudd have been caught up to 1 lb. plus and Carp to 20lb. although Carp caught are likely to be between 4 and 5 lb.

In the clear pit - Block Fen B - you will find an abundance of natural food.

This venue is home to large Specimen Carp and Pike to over 20 lbs. Tench, Perch and occasional Bream can be located.

Pop up rigs are favoured for the Carp & Pike, try ledger and lobworm for the Perch.
