Fish were hard
to come by with a gusting wind making presentation difficult.Catchers
were generally made up of roach, skimmers and eels. Nevertheless a good
turn out of 20 anglers for a river match with much banter between us.
Our adventure on the Div 2 National saw all of us work really hard but
with no reward we had a set of terrible draws, not one end peg or feature
which was the key to the venue, still everyone enjoyed the occasion and at
least we did not back out like 16 other teams. We also improved on last
year's position by about three places! so we are going in the right
direction. Our next match is on the Cam on the 16th of Sept as shown in
the Club Book, draw and times as advertised. We had hoped to use the pill
box pegs but we cannot gain access across the field and so we may use the
Clayhithe pegs so please get to the farm college early. On the 6th of
October we will enter a team to fish the Eastern Region Shield on the
Grand Union Canal in Milton Keynes. We must have a nominated member of
cfpas to act as a steward otherwise we cannot fish, can you help us?
