Cambridge United Football Clubs Annual fishing event took place on the Hundred foot at Mepal on Wednesday, The event was well attended, The weather let us down again, Strong wind, Heavy rain, followed by sunshine,

The Winner was Dave Seal with a 8lb 14oz bag of small Skimmers all caught on a groundbait feeder with Red Maggot on the hook. A very Impressive performance.

2nd Place went to Peter Freestone of J.C Holmes who put 8lb 12oz on the scales with a show piece of waggler fishing,

again all silver fish Skimmers , Roach,

3rd Place went to Trevor Chandler who fished well to put 5lb 11ozon the scales, again caught on the feeder with maggot hook bait,

4th Denver Margetson 5-14-0

5th Theresa Northfield 4-4-0

Several big fish were lost during the the match, But it was a good competitive event, Cambridge United would like to thank the following people for sponsoring the event, C.F.P.A.S. Ltd.
