There is no stopping the Darlerman on his favourite method of bread.  A 5-6-0 Tench helped him on his way to victory with roach skimmers and perch backing up his catch.  My good friend Will and I drew next to each other which resulted in a great deal of banter. It was really quite hot but not so our fishing as we drew the wrong end but that's fishing.  The lode is always good for some sights with the backside walkers and the twitchers were out in force.  At one point I thought I was staring in a western movie I have always thought of myself as a Clint Eastwood type!

This bloke walked by wearing a black cowboy hat then another bloke sort of hobbled along his trousers came just above his ankles revealing off white socks and he completed the look with a long grey ginger beard like some gold miner type.  At this point it was very hot so off came my shirt!  To complete the movie theme I looked up and saw two large birds of prey circling over me.  I called up to Will as he has been around a few old birds and he said they were Buzzards.  I thought they were vultures hovering over a substantial meal!
