5th Points & Shield

The Old West at Stretham

Sunday 24th August 2008

A very competitive match fished in difficult weather conditions.  We all got soaked in the first hour with the rain lashing us from what seemed all directions.  We have a well deserved summer champ in Ian Darler.

The winner had mainly small roach and Rudd for his catch, caught on the long pole.  Ian had slightly larger roach but less caught on his favourite tactic, which no one knows!

There were several hard luck stories with lost fish, eels missing the net and john Pope catching a zander which do not count..

Will suffering from a hangover did not catch a dab this match but I fully expect him to get something unusual on our next match.
